Museums, theatres and galleries
The Arts play a special role in Harlow's life. Harlow pioneered the use
of sculpture in public spaces, and the town itself is effectively a gallery
displaying works by Moore, Frink, Hepworth, Rodin and other leading
artists in the open air. There is even a Rodin outside a local superstore.

There is a thriving artistic scene with theatres, galleries and art centres.
The Gibberd Garden is internationally renowned, and Parndon Mill is a
centre for craft and creative activities. The Playhouse has a year-round
programme of theatre, ballet, dance, music and comedy to cater for the
interests of the whole community, and the The Square is a lively
performing space for new music.
